This Code of Conduct applies to all employees, officers, directors, consultants, subcontractors, and business partners. It outlines the principles that guide our decisions, actions, and relationships in every aspect of our business.
General Standards of Conduct
All individuals representing Cobenco Construction are expected to comply with this Code and with all applicable laws and regulations.
- Act honestly, ethically, and with integrity at all times
- Perform duties competently, responsibly, and in the best interest of Cobenco Construction
- Treat colleagues, clients, partners, and communities with respect and fairness
- Comply with all health, safety, environmental, and employment laws
- Avoid any behavior that could damage the reputation of Cobenco Construction
- Use company resources responsibly and for legitimate business purposes
Confidentiality
All employees and representatives must protect confidential and proprietary information belonging to Cobenco Construction and its clients.
Confidential Information Includes:
- Business plans, pricing, and financial records
- Client, supplier, and subcontractor data
- Contracts, bids, and project documentation
- Technical designs, intellectual property, and internal systems
- Important
Information may only be shared on a strict “need-to-know” basis. Any loss, misuse, or unauthorized disclosure must be reported immediately.
Outside Employment & Business Activities
Employees must maintain clear boundaries between personal business interests and their responsibilities to Cobenco Construction.
Key Requirements:
- No outside employment or business activities that conflict with company responsibilities
- Written approval required for external business activities in the construction industry
- Company resources must not be used for personal business
- Only authorized individuals may speak on behalf of Cobenco Construction to media or public
Conflict of Interest
A conflict of interest arises when personal, financial, or other interests interfere with the best interests of Cobenco Construction
Examples of Conflicts:
Financial Interest
Personal financial interest in a supplier, competitor, or client
Family Relationships
Family relationships with business partners or decision-makers
Gifts & Favors
Accepting gifts, favors, or benefits that could influence business decisions
Personal Gain
Using company information or position for personal gain
All potential conflicts must be disclosed immediately to management. Employees must avoid all situations that could create the appearance of a conflict.
Disclosures & Reporting
We encourage employees to report concerns related to ethics, safety, financial misconduct, fraud, or violations of this Code without fear of retaliation.
How to Report Concerns:
- Report to your direct supervisor
- Contact senior management
- Use confidential reporting channels (if provided)
Our Commitment
- All reports investigated fairly, promptly, and confidentially
- Retaliation against good faith reporting is strictly prohibited
- Violations may result in disciplinary action including termination
